Almasalla Arab Travel Portal News – SCTA has concluded the preparations for the launch of the 7th sessions of the Saudi Travel and Tourism Investment Market (STTIM-2014), which will be held under the patronage of HRH Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Abdul Aziz, Governor of Riyadh Province from 30th March to 4th April, 2014, at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center (RICEC).

 

The opening ceremony will be attended by His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, President of Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities, in addition to His Excellency Eng. Adel bin Mohammad bin Fageh, Minister of Labor, and His Excellency Eng.  Abdul Lateef bin Ahmed Al Othman, Governor of the Saudi Arabia General Investment Authority (SAGIA).

 

Throughout all its six sessions, since its launch first time, STTIM, it has managed to achieve good success and progress at the level of "Quality" for utilization of domestic tourism and at the level of "Quantity" in the raise of the number of participating companies, individuals, public and private authorities and visitors until it has eventually become the most important tourism event in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 

The importance of STTIM lies in its role in bringing together the investors, operators of tourism facilities and services as well as tourism destinations developers, and tourism experts under one roof to review the latest developments in this field, and discuss and enhance the tourism investment opportunities in the Kingdom.

 

The accompanied exhibition of STTIM this year is considered the largest in its class, since its inception six year ago. The total area of the exhibition is over 15,000 square meters approximately, occupying most of the halls of Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center by adding an increase of 4,000 square meters compared to the area in its last session. All the area of the exhibition is already leased out.

 

This year STTIM targets a record number of attendees estimated at 20,000 compared to 9,000 in its last session with the participation of 300 specialized bodies in aviation, entertainment and tourism, in addition to 14 tourism destinations. The accompanied exhibition will include highlights of the most important and the largest projects in the Kingdom.
 

STTIM-2014 enjoys great attention by tourism and investment relevant companies and authorities such as Saudi Arabia Airlines (Saudia) which will take part in it this year as a strategic partner, and Abdul Lateef Jameel Co., (Anjum hotel), as strategic partner also, in addition to Jabal Tariq and Bin Laden Group as Golden Sponsor, Elaf Group for Hotels as Silver Sponsor, and Al Hokair Group as hospitality sponsor.
 

A large number of companies and authorities will take part in the upcoming STTIM-2014 for the first time, such as Jabal Tariq, Abdul Lateef Jameel, SASCO, Kempinski Hotel and the like, besides its regular participants.

 

In principle, STTIM aims to bring together the national tourism industry concerned people and stakeholders, providing an important opportunity to the national and international companies to enter into partnerships and agreements in order to enhance and develop infrastructure of tourism sector in the Kingdom.
 

This year the event will also witness a heavy participation by different provinces of Saudi Arabia represented by their Provincial Tourism Development Councils, in addition to the participation of over 200 companies and authorities, whether engaged in accommodation sector, tour operating, travel and tourism agencies, besides SCTA’s partners in the municipalities, provinces and public departments, chambers of commerce and universities.

 

The accompanied exhibition of STTIM will include a number of pavilions of national and international companies that are engaged in the tourism sector in particular, and the huge pavilion of Ar-Riyadh Development Authority (ADA) in which it will highlight its most prominent projects such like the transport project.
 

The six-day event is going include over 35 events including workshops and training courses that will be delivered by 80 national and international experts discussing the most important topics of tourism industry.
 

The event will feature a number of sessions on important aspects like, “The role of new transportation projects in the stimulation and development of the tourism sector”, “Reality and the future of investment in the tourism sector”, “The entertainment and tourism industry”, and “The role of youth in the development of the tourism sector” in addition to featuring a number of tourism specialized events which concern industry involved people on both personal skills and investment development.
 

Noteworthy, the award ceremony of the Saudi Excellence in Tourism Award is set to be held on the sidelines of the events of STTIM-2014 under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, President of SCTA.
