 New Sales and Marketing Director Joins TAJ Palace Hotel Dubai

 

Rejoining the TAJ Palace Hotel Dubai as Director of Sales & Marketing is Asser Samy, a 23-year veteran of the Dubai hospitality sector who previously worked at the hotel as Director of Sales.

 

An Egyptian national, graduated from Faculty of Tourism and Hotels Management -Alexandria University, and continued his study with American Hotels & Motels Association, fluent in Arabic, English and French; Asser began his career working for Sheraton Nile Cruises, at the Front Office responsible of processing group bookings and VIP arrivals.

 

Moving to Dubai in 1991, he joined the Hyatt Regency Dubai at the Front Office, staying with the hotel for 11 years and progressing to Shift Leader, Assistant Manager, Night Manager and Assistant Front Office Manager, overseeing daily operation and a team of 30.

 

Asser then joined the Renaissance Dubai for four years, becoming Senior Sales Manager, before he transferred to the TAJ Palace Hotel Dubai as Assistant Director of Sales, rising to Director of Sales during his four years at the hotel.

 

After three years at the Dusit Residence Dubai Marina as Director of Sales & Marketing, Welcoming Asser back to the TAJ Palace Dubai Acting General Manager, Mr. Ahmed Badawy said his extensive experience in the Dubai market would be an asset in a fiercely competitive market.

 

“With his knowledge of both the hotel and its competitors, Asser is well placed to promote the TAJ Palace to established corporate and leisure markets, and will be targeting those countries that are big generators of business, such as China, India and Developing new markets such as Latin America, East Europe and South Africa, in addition to GCC Market which is the main Leisure market to Dubai” he said.

 

“While there are more than 600 hotels and nearly 83,000 rooms in Dubai, demand is also rising and the TAJ Palace will continue to achieve exceptional occupancies through the efforts of Asser and his team.”
