aTP-  Arab tourism portal News –  How much transfer time do you have to allow for at Munich Airport? Where can I relax and freshen up after a longhaul flight? What services can I use during my stopover? Answers to these and many other questions can be found in the new Munich Airport Stopover Guide.

The digital service can be accessed immediately at www.munich-airport.com/stopoverguide and gives passengers an opportunity to find out anything they might need to know about their transfer or stopover at Munich Airport before they start their journey. The Stopover Guide will first only be available for Terminal 2.

The Stopover Guide is very easy to use: The passengers simply have to enter their flight number to Munich and final destination next to the date of arrival on the website. Then they receive details of their personal stopover process. Step-by-step and using simple symbols the passengers get all the information necessary for their transfer, including any possible passport or customs controls, the stopover time at the airport and helpful information about their onward flight.

Passengers with a long stopover, for example, might find it worth their while to pay a visit to the surrounding area or to the visitors’ park. Those who have slightly less time can take full advantage of the wide range of shops or let themselves be tempted by the many different cuisines available in Terminal 2. Under the “At the airport” symbol lots of details can be found about the individual shops at the airport, special services and information on the Wi-Fi service, as well as exclusive discount coupons for the shopping and food areas.

“In Terminal 2 alone we have more than 14 million transfer passengers every year,” says Lukas Foss, the project head. “The new Stopover Guide will help our flight passengers find their way around more easily and get the information they need faster, so they can plan their stopover at Munich Airport even better.“
