Urgent statement from the National Air Navigation Services Company
aTP- Arab tourism portal- Captain / Ehab Mohieldin, CEO of the National Air Navigation Services Company announced that what was published on media today concerning a recording of a conversation between the pilot of EgyptAir MS804 and Cairo Air traffic control is totally false; stressing that the aircraft did not make any contact with Egypt’s Air traffic control but the aircraft was monitored on the radar screens at the border point between the airspaces of Egypt and Greece known as (KUMBI) which is away from Cairo for about 260 nautical miles , confirming that the aircraft appeared on the height of 37,000 feet within the boundaries of the air space without any deviation then disappeared from the radar screens after less than a minute from entering the Egyptian airspace.
The air traffic control unit made contacts with some of the aircraft located in the airpace near of EgyptAir aircraft flight No. 804 to help communicate or sending any information about the aircraft and the Egyptian search and rescue units were notified at once.
Mohieldin also confirmed that all legal measures have been taken by the company to reserve the aircraft recordings and logs.
