Tigany Hadad expects a great increase in Tunisia tourism by the end of this year

Tunisian Tourism Minister Tigany Hadad explained today that number of incoming tourists to Tunisia last year peaked to more than 6.5 million tourists, with an increase over 9.2% compared with year 2004.
It is expected to surpass this figure this year. He confirmed that this movement led to development of foreign currency revenues last year to amount over 2825 Million dinars equal to 2124 million dollars against 2290 million dinars equal to 1721 million dollars in year 2004 with a rate of increase estimated at 23.4%.

Hadad declared in his speech during a tourism conference took place earlier today in Tunisia that Tourism sector is representing a development and economic growth tool in addition of being a technique of openness over the others and means for developing effective partnership with rest of world peoples.

He added that intensification of cooperation and consolidation of partnership horizons in the tourism sector with rest of countries is the sole means for achieving targets of the sustainable development and confronting various challenges, whether were human, economic or environmental.
