Ahmed Bin Nasser Al Mahrizi to attend the third GCC Tourism Ministerial Meeting
aTP- Arab tourism portal News- Muscat, – Ahmed Bin Nasser Al Mahrizi, Minister of Tourism, along with a delegation from the Sultanate will be attending the third GCC Tourism Ministerial Meeting in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The agenda of the meeting is to look into the various aspects that will boost tourism in the GCC through cooperation between the different members as well as give an opportunity for their various countries to share their experiences and success stories.
The Ministerial delegations will also discuss the vision of tourism in the GCC, and the goals and strategies leading to that vision. Another important aspect of the discussion are ways to preserve and maintain the culture and heritage of each country while pursuing a globally competitive vision.
The council will also deliberate over domestic tourism, establish methods to increase tourism between GCC countries and analyze the benefits that GCC citizens would derive from offers provided by tour operators.
The participants will also discuss the operational and organizational roles of the GCC tourism capital project.
This meeting was preceded by the GCC Tourism Undersecretary Meeting which was headed by Her Excellency Maitha Al Mahrouqi.
