Sephora opens first airport store at Abu Dhabi Airport

 

 

 

 ATP-  Arab tourism portal- Abu Dhabi International Airport is broadening its brand offerings at its duty-free retail space with the debut of Sephora’s airport pop up stores.In partnership with Duty Free Store (DFS) and Sephora, the stores will be open at Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 between August 1 and October 31.


Miriam Von Loewenfeld- head of operations, Sephora ME; Hasmik Panossian- senior manager Made in Sephora; Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei- CEO Abu Dhabi Airports; and Ahmad Al Haddabi- chief operations officer at Abu Dhabi Airports inaugurated the outlet.

The pop up stores will provide an unparalleled assortment of beauty products representing Sephora’s own private label range “Made In Sephora”.


The addition of Sephora to the roster of brands on offer at Abu Dhabi International Airport is consistent with the company’s objective of delivering an outstanding passenger experience.


Beauty and Fragrance was the biggest selling product category in 2014, with a 31 per cent share of Duty Free turnover, helping to increase overall annual sales by almost 10 per cent.


Daniel Cappell, acting chief commercial officer at Abu Dhabi Airports, said: “We are delighted to welcome Sephora to Abu Dhabi Duty Free and to be the first airport to host them in a duty-free retail space managed and operated by our retailer partner DFS.


Beauty and Fragrance is an important part of our offering to passengers and the choice of leading brands has increased to meet their demands.


Sephora, with its unique, open-sell shopping environment, perfectly complements our commitment to offer travelers a world-class, unique shopping experience within the airport.
