Visiting US artists praise UAE
Almasalla, ATP News- Dubai- The visiting New York City artists currently in the UAE said on Monday that they plan to fully support the less fortunate members of the society through the home-grown Artissima Art Gallery.
The well-known US artists, Marco of MarcoArt said that he along with the visiting team were very impressed at the UAE government’s concern to the less privileged members of the society.
Marco said that with his artwork, he will introduce paintings portraying the true culture and heritage of the Gulf region through the ‘Made in UAE’ tag-line.
He said the artwork will be sold through auction, and the proceeds will go to charitable organisations in the country, such as the Autism centre, children’s homes etc.
Marco on Sunday evening showcased some of his world-famed paintings popularly known as ‘World Peas’ at Artissima Art Gallery in Al Quoz that was officially inaugurated by a high-level delegation led by a member of the Al Serkal family and a top official from the Dubai Culture.
Marco was accompanied by famous US Opera singer, Paula Oleska, and Gloria Cressler, a Philanthropist, Author, Business Coach, President/Founder of Elite Professional Networking Group.
Marco noted that the UAE continues to witness an overall growth of the modern-art market, especially in Dubai where a number of Art Galleries are catering to international artists, besides promoting the indigenous Arab artwork.
The celebrity artist who is visiting the UAE for the first time, said he was very impressed at the way Dubai handles its art and culture forum.
The positive experience in artwork has paved the way for future collaboration between art communities from both the UAE and other parts of the world, added Marco.
Dubai based Artissima Art Gallery through its founder, Ms. Aurela Cuku has over the years accommodated the talents of local artists.
This time round, Artissima Art Gallery has invited the New York City artists on a country-wide tour that started from Saturday and will go on until 18th November, as they visit all the emirates during their visit, in an effort to convey the message of how art is linked to culture and heritage.
The team will specially tap on upcoming talents and will provide art training sessions to school children while touring the emirates.
Aurela co-founder and partner at Artissima Art Gallery said that it is very important for the world to know how advance art is in the UAE.
This is the first time Artissima Art Gallery has invited celebrities from the US and since the start of the tour in the country, it has been a great success.
The inaugural exhibition provides a great platform to strengthen Artissima Art Gallery and links not only with the local artistic community but also globally, says Aurela.
It is therefore a honour to host the unique portfolio of artworks by celebrity Artist Marco in the UAE, says the Italian-Albanian born Aurela. She explains that Marco and Artissima Art Gallery are interrelated in many ways as both share the same concept.
