In recognition of its sustainable operations and management, Movenpick Hotel Doha in Qatar was awarded Green Globe Certification on 2nd July, 2014. The Movenpick Hotel Doha is dedicated to maintaining its sustainable best business practices while also delivering its renowned world-class service and quality.

 

Green Globe is the worldwide sustainability system based on internationally accepted criteria for sustainable operation and management of travel and tourism businesses. Following an extensive assessment detailing the hotel’s key indicators on energy usage, water consumption and waste output management as well as employee training and implementation of customer satisfaction measures, the property achieved outstanding results and earned certification by Green Globe for the third year running. The hotel continues to work on improving greater efficiencies while providing a comfortable environment and outstanding facilities for guests.

Areas in which the hotel has earned the certification include significant savings in energy and water consumption in comparison to 2013, streamlined development plans for employees and the quality of service which leads to optimal customer satisfaction. Internal conservation projects, as well as carefully planned communications aimed at raising environmental awareness, also played a role in creating sustainable business. In addition, Movenpick Hotel Doha backs initiatives such as “Earth Hour” and “No Paper Day” among others.
