International experts to discuss development of entertainment cities in the Kingdom
Almasalla Arab Travel Portal News – German expert in Entertainment Cities, Martin Han, along with an Indian expert in entertainment industry, Prakash Vevekanand, are set to discuss a number of issues related to the development of entertainment cities in the Kingdom within the events of the upcoming STTIM-2014.
The discussion is scheduled to be held under the theme "Entertainment and Tourism" in which will take part a number of international experts, specialists and analyzers.
The discussion will focus on the importance of harnessing all the efforts for the development of the tourism sector and making it one of the key tributaries of the national economy in order to achieve the objectives of the social and economic development plans in the forefront of which come the diversification of income sources, GDP growth and creating more job opportunities to the Saudi citizens.
The experts will discuss a number of themes including, "international expertise" with the review of regional and national experiences, in addition to reviewing the regulations and laws, role of government departments, the operation and quality.
The session will be moderated by Abdul Aziz Al Sowaid, prominent media figure and writer in Al Hayat Newspapers, in which will take part a tourism investor, Majed Al Hokair, and Director General of Department of Architectural Development at the Ar-Riyadh Development Authority (ADA), Abdullah Al Rokban, and Dr. Sami Al Saga, Manager of Education and Entertainment Company and Director General of Safety at the General Authority of Civil Defense, Brigadier General Abdullah Al Shegaithri.
The session will be chaired by Assistant Vice-President of SCTA for Licensing and Quality Assurance, Eng. Ahmed Al Eisa.
Entertainment is considered one of the most important components of tourism in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which is sought by both the Saudis and expatriates during the breaks and seasons and it is set by the planners of new cities as a top priority.
Noteworthy, the Saudi Travel and Tourism Investment Market (STTIM), is a major occasion organized annually by Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities on tourism industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
This year STTIM-2014 will be held under the patronage of HRH Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Abdul Aziz, Governor of Riyadh and Chairman of Riyadh Tourism Development Council from 30th March to 4th April.
The STTIM-2014 in its 7th session is going to be held under the theme "Tourism… Partnership towards sustainable development", is scheduled to feature five major scientific sessions to be held as dialogue sessions with the participation of a number of officials and specialists, in addition the attendees will also participate in the discussion through asking questions. The sessions will be moderated by prominent media figure, who has experience in the management of the talk shows on television in particular.
