Almasalla Arab Travel Portal News –  Hilton Worldwide has signed an agreement which will see it rebrand a 389-key hotel within Munich Airport under its flagship Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand. The property is the only hotel with a direct link to the main terminal building and is the latest addition to the company’s expanding portfolio of hotels at European transport hubs.
 

Under the new agreement, Hilton will manage the upper upscale hotel on behalf of owners Allresto Flughafen München Hotel und Gaststätten GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of Flughafen München GmbH, from January 2015. The hotel, which is currently operating as Kempinski Munich Airport Hotel, will undergo a significant renovation and a further 160 rooms will be added to the existing building in 2017. Once the rebrand is complete, the hotel will be known as Hilton Munich Airport, and offer substantial meetings and conference spaces, alongside a Fit & Fly spa area and a range of exciting food & beverage options.

The current hotel includes 389 guest rooms, including 43 suites, divided across two five-storey wings.The hotel’s modern design incorporates a striking glass façade and large scale indoor lobby area. Guests at Hilton Munich Airport will benefit from a relaxing spa facility, featuring a luxurious 17-metre swimming pool, whirlpool, sauna, steam bath, fitness area, seven treatment rooms and a pool bar.

Hilton Worldwide has successfully introduced more than 20 hotels at European airports. On completion of this rebrand it will boast a presence at the top seven busiest airports in Europe by passenger number, all operating under its upscale and focused service brands. 2015 will also mark the opening of the brand new Hilton Amsterdam Airport Schiphol in the Netherlands, a comprehensive redevelopment which is currently under construction and will allow guests direct access to the international terminal building.
 

Hilton Munich Airport will be the 17th hotel in Germany operating as a Hilton Worldwide hotel, and will join the award-winning dual branded Hilton Frankfurt Airport and Hilton Garden Inn Frankfurt Airport, which opened to guests in 2011. Other Hilton properties in Munich include Hilton Munich City and Hilton Munich Park, which recently underwent a major refurbishment programme.
