Unique BreakSlow Concept from Fairmont The Palm Encourages Fair-goers to Pause and Enjoy Every Bite

Almasalla Arab Travel Portal News – Depart from a hurried lifestyle and start enjoying the simple pleasures in life, starting right from breakfast. For the second year in a row Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is taking part in Taste of Dubai, with plans to serve mouthwatering dishes – best savored slowly, from Fairmont The Palm s signature BreakSlow concept at Flow Kitchen. From March 13th-15th, visitors to the fair are invited to take a mental break from the crowds to relax and enjoy every delectable bite of Fairmont’s Breakfast Shawarma, Steak and Quail Egg Hash, Maple Hot Smoked Salmon Hash, or the BreakSlow Chocolate Brownie.
 

 

Fairmont is known for its novel and inventive approaches to dining, providing fresh new experiences to restaurant-goers in a city populated with five-star restaurants and celebrity chefs. From pioneering Friday Brunch in Dubai to dining in the dark with Noire, BreakSlow is the latest innovation designed specifically by Fairmont The Palm to create an all-encompassing brunch encounter for guests.

“Leisurely dining encourages people to take the time to properly taste and enjoy their food. By combining the concept of slow eating with the most important meal of the day – breakfast, BreakSlow was created,” said Chef John Buenaventura of Flow Kitchen at Fairmont The Palm. “I’m excited to debut BreakSlow at Taste of Dubai, where we’ll be offering more than just mouthwatering dishes – we’ll be introducing a completely new perspective on how to approach and savor food.”

Plating up BreakSlow recipes during the fair, and rising star at Fairmont The Palm, is Chef John Buenaventura. Chef Buenaventura grew up in the Philippines, where he worked tirelessly towards his dream culinary career. Spending time in the kitchen with his grandmother as a young boy is where John developed a love for breakfast, and grew to appreciate not just a hearty meal, but sharing it with family and friends – a concept close to his heart that’s carried through to BreakSlow.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Culinary competition reality shows such as Hell’s Kitchen and Kitchen Confidential provided Chef Buenaventura with further inspiration to pursue a culinary career and the drive to succeed. A self-professed workaholic, Chef Buenaventura is “married to his job” simply because he loves when guests enjoy the food that he has prepared. His culinary style is best described as simple execution and fresh ingredients and flavours.

Hard work and determination paid off for Buenaventura. He has won 14 industry awards throughout his 11-year career, and worked at several five-star restaurants before joining the team at Fairmont The Palm. This is the first time that Chef Buenaventura is participating in Taste of Dubai. He previously participated in Gourmet Abu Dhabi and Abu Dhabi Art.

Fairmont will be located at Booth R10 at Taste of Dubai. In addition, Chef Buenaventura is participating in two workshops during the festival: Thursday 13 March at 6:40pm and Saturday 15 March at 3pm.
