Swiss couple murdered in Egypt – report
BERN, Switzerland – Swiss couple was murdered in Egypt, in the Red Sea resort of Hurghada, according to the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs in Bern. The officials refrained from disclosing the details of the tragic incident.
Meanwhile the Swiss press reports that the couple lived in Egypt for several years. Their disappearance was reported by their son, who is in Switzerland. Unable to reach his parents via telephone and get them to communicate in any other way, he inquired with the representatives of Egypt in Switzerland.
In Hurghada an investigation was initiated, during which the Egyptian police questioned the watchman guarding the Swiss villa. He was found in posession of some cople’s belongings and was taken into custody.
According to Swiss media, the watchman has confessed to the murder that he commited with two accomplices. He also told police where to find the bodies of their victims – buried in the garden at the villa. One of the accomplices have also been arrested, and the second is being sought by police.
