III NBH Forum: Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul-Aziz signed a contract to design Heritage House Project
Almasalla Arab Travel Portal News – His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul-Aziz, Vice President of the Heritage Charity Foundation signed project contract to design Heritage House in the Diplomatic Quarter in Riyadh, with a Spanish specializing company, on the sidelines of the opening of the Third National Architectural Heritage Forum in Madina.
HRH Prince Salman said in a statement after signing the contract: “Thanks and appreciation to His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Abdul-Aziz, Governor of Riyadh region, Chairman of the Supreme Riyadh Development Commission on the support by the Commission, and His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, President of the Board of Directors of Heritage House Foundation.
On this occasion, HRH said: “Heritage Charity Foundation signed a contract to design heritage house in the neighborhood of the Embassies in Riyadh to be the center of a cultural and modern interface deriving its design from the architectural heritage of the Riyadh city, and remain as one of the landmarks of the capital embracing events and meetings related to heritage.
HRH Prince Salman bin Sultan, pointed out that the Heritage House will be, God willing, an urban addition to neighborhood of embassies, which is an outstanding neighborhood with its unique architecture and reflecting traditional environment of Riyadh, upon which the High Commission for the Development of Riyadh stood by the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Abdul Aziz when he was a prince of the Riyadh and Chairman of the Supreme Commission for development of Riyadh, and His Royal Highness Prince Sattam bin Abdul-Aziz – may God have mercy on him – as deputy governor of the region at the time.
The Vice President of the Heritage Charity Foundation said that the project will consist of two parts: the first, a building of the Heritage House, which will be built using traditional techniques for building, such as clay and also it will contain a set of traditional open courtyard, doors and windows, which is surrounded by gardens designed with the environmental and heritage, homogeneous with the Heritage House, to help on the development of activities and events, such as exhibitions interested in heritage, seminars and meetings.
The second part is an office building that will be on behalf of Prince Sultan bin Salman for Heritage, and is based on the support of heritage projects, pointing out that Heritage Foundation is non-profit organization, and works on the reformulation of the concept of the national heritage and emphasizes its importance.
HRH Prince Salman said that the Heritage Foundation has a number of programs, projects and studies in addition to a number of publications concerned with the preservation and activation of heritage in all parts of the Kingdom to increase community awareness of it, and expressed his delight with the participation of Heritage Foundation in the Third National Architectural Heritage Forum held (NBHF) in Medina, presenting his sincere thanks and appreciation to His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, President of SCTA for his interest in the important issue, maintaining the architectural heritage and the unlimited support of the Foundation, and His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Salman, Emir of Medina area for attending the signing of the contract.
HRH Prince Salman prayed at the conclusion of his statement to God for repaid pace to serve the heritage of our country, which is full of unique heritage in every region of the Kingdom, noting what every region received the care and attention of the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz – may God protect him, and his Crown Prince His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Abdul Aziz – may God protect him.
