Emirates firms deal for 50 additional A380s
Almasalla Arab Travel Portal News – Emirates Airline has signed a firm order for 50 additional A380s, cementing a commitment that was first announced at the Dubai Air Show in November.
In a statement, Emirates and Airbus said they had completed discussions toward the order and finalized it in Toulouse during a visit by Emirates president Tim Clark.
“The A380 is our flagship aircraft. It is popular with our customers and delivers results for us in terms of operational performance. That is why we have ordered these additional 50 aircraft, to add to our A380 fleet,” Clark said in a statement.
Dubai-based Emirates has 44 A380s in service. This is its fifth A380 order, taking its total commitment to 140 of the type.
