Seychelles Carnival featured in Asian Geographic magazine
Almasalla Arab Travel Portal News – The 2013 edition of the annual Carnaval International de Victoria that is staged annually in the Seychelles during the last weekend of the month of April has received six pages of coverage in full color in the highly-respected Asian Geographic magazine.
This carnival referred to as the unique “carnival of carnivals” is now known as the only carnival where all the best carnivals of the world parade side by side followed by cultural troupes from the Community of Nations. In a review published in Asia Geographic entitled “The Colors of Carnaval,” the journalist writes: “Nothing is more fascinating than observing people of different cultures enjoying a celebration… and I did mention the eye-popping colors? Colors that burst your retina – especially when they come with the hottest bodies from Seychelles, Brazil, and Reunion Island burning a path down the road. Yes, I was mesmerized by the combination of colors, costumes, and charisma… . What makes the Carnaval International de Victoria such an attraction for a photographer? Quite simply, there is everything you need to tell a story within your frame. So get out there and immerse yourself in the moment.”
Seychelles it is said wanted to stage an event where the Community of Nations can come together to showcase their culture and people as they promote their respective country. “It is a fun tourism trade fair as such. Countries fly their flag, and using culture and their people they make themselves visible and relevant in front of the army of international press who travel to Seychelles to cover this unique event," Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, said after receiving a copy of the Asian Geographic magazine.
The 2014 edition of the Carnaval International de Victoria is set to take place in Seychelles from April 25-27, 2014.
