SCTA Jeddah Branch "issues operating licenses of tourist activities… for the first time”
Almasalla Arab Travel Portal News – By Ashraf El gedawy – SCTA Branch in Jeddah has for the first time issued seven operation licenses in row to as many facilities in the accommodation sector, one for a hotel and six for furnished apartments.

These licenses are the first of their kind to be issued ever by Jeddah branch after the shift of authority of operation licenses issuance to provincial branches without seeking approval from the SCTA headquarters in Riyadh.

For his part, the Executive Director of SCTA Branch in Makkah, Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Amri, has stated that, this action reaffirms decentralization methodology and the shift of authority to provincial branches which is adopted by SCTA a long time ago, as it believes that drive of tourism development across provinces should be launched from the provinces themselves, and that service quality is one of the key factors for determining the tourism destination’s identity which prompted SCTA to develop all its systems, especially the licensing to an advanced level in collaboration with its partners in the tourism sector.
This resolution is considered also as a quantum leap in the services and facilities provided by the SCTA. It also contributes to increase cooperation efforts with investors facilitating investment procedures.
