UTair-Express launches ATR 72-500 operations
Almasalla Travel News – By Ashraf El gedawy – Russia s UTair-Express has launched ATR 72-500 flights on routes from Moscow to Voronezh and Kirov. The aircraft were transferred from parent carrier UTair Aviation as part of its fleet renewal program.
UTair Airline CEO Andrey Martirosov said there will be four types of aircraft in the parent carrier’s fleet—Boeing 737s, 767s, 757s and Airbus A321s.
UTair said in August it will stop using Soviet-era Tupolev Tu-154 aircraft before the end of the year, while UTair-Express will cease Tu-134 flights in 2014. The group has signed a memorandum of understanding for 30 MC-21 aircraft and a lease agreement for six Sukhoi Superjet 100LRs.
