Tourism and Culture Minister meets Miss Creole design îles contestants
aTP- Arab tourism portal News- Tonight Seychelles will get a new Creole queen as one of the 10 young ladies taking part in the 2016 Miss Creole des îles international beauty pageant will be crowned.
Taking place at the International Conference Centre of Seychelles (ICCS) in its capital of Victoria, Miss Creole des îles international beauty pageant is now in its second year.
Debbie Horsman, who is the reigning Miss Creole des îles international will crown the 2016 Creole queen who will become the new ambassador of our Creole culture.
Few days prior to the big night, the young contestants met the Minister for Tourism and Culture Alain St.Ange and the principal secretary for culture Benjamine Rose during one of their rehearsal sessions at ICCS. Miss Horsman was also present during the meeting held on Wednesday afternoon.
Minister St.Ange saluted the girls for being willing to take part in such a beauty contest which is aimed at putting our Creole culture to the forefront.
He also thanked the organiser Terry Carolla and his team for this good initiative and for pushing it through a second year.
Miss Rose wished the contestants good luck and called on them to use the new knowledge and skills that they have acquired during their training sessions wisely.
The 10 contestants taking part in this year’s pageant are – Kanisha Dogley, Rania Bristol, Ellissa Larue, Romakira Gonthier, Chlorie Cadeau, Valentina Reginald, Omegan Jean-Marie Ciseau, Melanie Sinon, Angela Bill and Isabelle Savy.
