Kenya Airways celebrates new flights to Livingstone, Zambia
Almasalla Travel News – During the week, Kenya Airways held a cocktail party to celebrate their new flights to Livingstone. The party was on the lawns at the Zambezi Sun.
Kenya Airways is starting an ambitious plan to become a hub for flights to and within Africa. It is in stiff competition with Ethiopia Airlines.
Zambia does not have a national airline. It went bust in 1995. Zambia could become a hub of trade, but running an airline is no easy matter. There is only one private airline in Zambia – Proflight – and with Zambia being an expensive place to run any business, it is unlikely that a new national carrier should be on the cards.
In the meantime it is hoped that good prices for flights will be on offer by Kenya Airways. It will certainly make a change for those in Livingstone from having to get to Europe through South Africa.
