British Airways to increase capacity between London and Nairobi

aTP-  Arab tourism portal- British Airways has announced it will increase capacity by 784 seats a week on flights between London and Nairobi for summer 2016 through the introduction of a Boeing 747-400 on the route.

The airline has taken the decision due to the growing sales and increased demand for Kenya it is seeing in the UK. The 747s will operate during the peak four-month travel period to Kenya from 1st July to 29th October introducing a total of 11,200 seats into Nairobi this summer.

From 30th October the airline plans to revert to its original Boeing 777 on the route.  Edward Frost, British Airways commercial manager for South and East Africa said, “We’ve always said that we would add capacity if the opportunity arose.

It has and we’ve seized it. The additional capacity and the fact that we offer an overnight schedule should be good news for leisure and business travellers alike. Morning arrivals in London mean that you don’t waste any time on your holiday and business trip.

The schedule also allows for convenient transfer times to onward flights particularly to North America.”
