aTP- Arab tourism portal- International travel booking sites Agoda and Booking.com have recognised the Acajou Beach Resort for its outstanding guest reviews, with each bestowing awards on the Praslin-based establishment of the Seychelles.
Acajou is one of just seven establishments in Seychelles to receive Agoda’s Gold Circle award, which rewards properties around the world that embody the best qualities of the online booking experience.
Now in its seventh year, the Gold Circle Awards are awarded based on several factors, which include aggregate customer reviews and value pricing.
Errol Cooke, Vice President Global Partner Services at Agoda.com, said: “In an extremely competitive industry, these properties have shown an outstanding level of commitment to the intersection of cutting-edge technology and world-class service.”
Meanwhile, Booking.com’s Award of Excellence is given to properties annually, in honour of their achievements over the past year as measured by their overall guest review score. To receive an award, partners of Booking.com must have an average review score of 8 or higher, based on at least 10 guest reviews. Acajou’s average score for 2015 was 8.5 out of 10.
“Connecting travellers of all backgrounds with the world’s best places to stay is at the core of our mission at Booking.com,” said Gillian Tans, President and Chief Operating Officer at Booking.com. “Our Award of Excellence is presented to a select group of partners in recognition of our shared commitment and passion for getting it right for each and every guest.”
For Acajou, the awards validate the lengthy refurbishment during 2014 that has now brought the hotel into a leading position in its category. “To receive these awards from two of our best online sellers shows that the investments we made in our hotel have been warmly received,” Acajou Beach Resort General Manager Joanise Doway said. “We are very appreciative of both our wonderful guests who take the time to leave feedback and suggestions, and our hard-working team for delivering on the increased expectations of our clients.”
Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture congratulated Joanise Doway and her Team at Acajou Beach Resort saying that they remain an example.
"You are today reaping the benefits of being a serious member of our island’s tourism trade. You work closely with the Seychelles Tourism Board and you run a good establishment – you are on a successful path" said Minister St.Ange
