aTP-  Arab tourism portal News- December 7th is the International Civil Aviation Day and for the mid-ocean islands of the Seychelles it should be a day to reaffirm the importance of air access. This day of recognition should also be a day for reflection on how we work as a country with the aim of showing greater respect for workers who make the island’s Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority operate with success.

"Seychelles has seen remarkable growth in air access and this has brought our islands onto a path of consolidation for its tourism industry.  But behind the scene those at the airport who are involved in policies and standards, in compliance audits, those performing studies and analyses and those providing assistance to build aviation capacity through other activities and cooperation as is stated by ICAO should not only be congratulated, but also encouraged for a job well done" said Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports and Marine.

The Minister who, accompanied by PS Garry Albert, recently completed a first phase of meeting with staff of the Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA) said that the the importance of the Team who makes Seychelles International Airport work is underestimated. "They are running an operation that has safeguarded the safety label of our islands. They are a clear example of a successful operation and we need to recognize it" said Minister St.Ange
