Kreol Festival in Seychelles hits city centre Market Street with island’s music
aTP- Arab tourism portal News- Last Saturday morning Market Street, in the centre of Victoria of the Seychelles, saw local music by popular ‘moutya’ groups were being performed and appreciated by shoppers and visitors to Seychelles.
This event was part of the 2016 Festival Kreol and was attended by Alain St.Ange, the island’s Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture and Benjamine Rose, the PS for Culture.
The popular ‘moutya’ performer Norlice Rose of Fec Arive was himself present to pull the crowd of shoppers to the pedestrian part of Marklet Street as the newly crowned Miss Kreol International Omegan Jean-Marie Ciseau danced and entertained shoppers.
The Festival Organisers have this year increased the number of events where local artists have been invited to showcase their talent and increase awareness of the island’s annual Festival Kreol
