aTP- Arab tourism portal- The Saudi Travel and Tourism Investment Market (STTIM) in its ninth edition is set to see the attendance of a number of national and international experts and specialists in the areas of tourism and travel to discuss issues related to tourism industry in Saudi Arabia. The event will be held at Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center from March 27 to April 1, 2016.
STTIM is an annual event organized by SCTH and this year it is held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdul Aziz, Governor of Riyadh province and His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, President of SCTH.
Head of the Organizing Committee of STTIM-2016, Hamad Al Sheikh, in this context said, “The scientific program of STTIM-2016, which will be devoted to tourism sector’s investment, will witness the participation of a number of national and international experts, who will address the morning conferences as key speakers targeting decision makers and investors in the tourism sector.”
Al Sheikh disclosed that, a number of prominent names will be participating in the event, including Ibrahim Osta, Director of Tourism Development Project at Chemonics Co. funded by USAID, plus Robert Roland, a member of advisors for tourism network, and speaker Paul Anderson, who has over 30 years of international experience of over 30 years in the management of projects for railway and trains, and Ms. Coronlya, advisor in assessing economic impacts and cultural heritage, in addition to well-known figures in the tourism sector investment, local as well and Arabic figures in the conferences which will be held at Ritz Carlton in Riyadh from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm daily.
The evening sessions of the scientific program will see scientific workshops, educational and training lectures and these will be held at Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center (RICEC), the host of STTIM-2016.
The organizing committee expects the scientific program to witness participation of over 80 national and international speakers for discussing ways to develop domestic tourism, as well as recognizing successful experiences in addition to analyzing tourism reality, providing opportunity for industry parties; businessmen, public officials, national and international experts, and media to meet and discuss issues related to tourism industry.
On themes of conferences and workshops, Al Sheikh said, “STTIM-2016 will discuss a number of themes in simultaneous sessions on all the five days, including “economic impact of national heritage”, “transport and roadside stations and their role in the tourism sector”, “successful international experiences in the development and management of modern cities”, in addition to themes on investment and finance.
The evening sessions will discuss a number of issues on investment in tourism sector including “tourism events and festivals”, “exhibitions, conferences and training”, “social media accounts”, “e-tourism marketing”, “tourism finance”, “hotels and furnished apartments services”, “media and tourism photography” and many important issues related to tourism sector.
