In support of the annual global initiative to protect the environment and mitigate climate change and considering the environmental protection as one of Sheraton Montazah top priorities, the hotel participated in the Earth Hour – 24 March 2018 for the eighth year consecutively and joined millions in the globe celebrating this largest environmental movement.

On this particular occasion, the Hotel dimmed and switched off the unnecessary lights in hotel’s lobby and public areas and offered candlelit dinner to its guests at La Mamma Restaurant, Café Coquillage, Café Rendez-Vous and Caesar Bar where its participation in this exceptional ecological event has led to saving around 805 KWH of electric power consumption. In-house guests and visitors were invited to green cocktails and snacks that don’t need energy to cook to celebrate this special occasion.

“Contributing to the world’s largest global climate change initiative is a small part of our long term plans to raise attention to sustainability and green thinking, taking into consideration that joining this international event is a powerful message to others that together we can make a difference. It also gives an example of collective efforts to educate and create awareness about the importance of saving our planet.” , said Heba Abou El Ella, Director of Public Relations & Marketing.
