aTP-  Arab tourism portal- The story of Dave Mousbe is an inspiring one, worth telling to the world as it portrays the determination and perseverance of a young, hard working Seychellois man who has never let hardships destroy his dreams. Loosing one’s parents while pursuing studies abroad is no easy news to deal with. And learning that one’s house has been completely burnt down in the midst of a merry festive season is devastating news which can crumble your every hope just before the dawn of a new  year.

But these thorns in Dave’s life did not lead him onto a path of bad influences but instead this rough road led him to a heights of greatness at Constance Lemuria Seychelles.

It all started when Dave decided to pursue further studies in the field of tourism, joining the Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management course at the Seychelles Tourism Academy (STA) in 2008. He had his first internship at the Praslin-based resort, Constance Lemuria Seychelles that same year until May 2009.

After that, Dave went back to class before flying to Mauritius at the Constance Belle Mare Plage for three months, from November 2009 to January 2010.

Young Dave came back to Lemuria for his final internship in December that same year until April 2011, after which he left for Ireland to compete his studies at the Shannon College.

Coping with the lost of one of his parents during the time he was in Ireland was a tough moment in his life, but even through this time of despair, Dave managed to gather strength to keep on going. After the successful completion of his course in Ireland, Dave went back to Constance Lemuria Seychelles and was employed as the assistant restaurant manager.

From then he worked hard, facing many challenges and at the same time sharing a number of great and unforgettable moments. In December 2015, Dave was promoted as restaurant manager.

"It has not been easy as I had to face many challenges along the way, but you need to persevere in life. When one has a goal, one needs to find ways to reach it. As a leader you need to ensure that members of staff working under your supervision are happy so that in return they can give a good service to our clients." " Dave Mousbe said.

"One thing that I have learned is that teamwork is very important and the support of my colleagues, the general manager Bruno Le Gac, the food and beverage manager Giany Bundhoa and the human resources manager Daniella Simon have been much appreciated. They have believed in me and in my ability, and they have given me courage to keep moving on", Dave said.

Dave has also followed management training courses initiated by Constance Lemuria Seychelles and is set to graduate this month.

" I love my job and I enjoy working at Constance Lemuria Seychelles. I am happy that I have reached that far as a young person and I want to keep learning and improving," " Dave Mousbe added.

Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture caught up with Dave Mousbe when he was on a working visit to Praslin last week accompanied by Anne Lafortune, the PS for Tourism. "It was an opportunity for us to congratulate Dave Mousbe on his promotion. The brief we received from Mr Bruno Le Gac, the General manager of the Lemuria Resort confirmed that we had in Dave Mousbe a good qualified young Seychellois who wanted too make Hospitality Management his career.

We are proud to see a young Tourism Academy Graduate who was also sent to complete his studies at Shannon College in Ireland now moving up the management ladder of one of our prestigious five star resorts" said Minister St.Ange in the presence of Mr Le Gac and PS Lafortune.
