One Seychelles President Alain St.Ange said – “The election is a testimony to the valour and competence which Mrs. Alexia Amesbury has always brought to any cause which she espouses.
It is a tribute and acknowledgment of the prowess of Seychellois and African women and we are convinced that her contribution will be beneficial to both our country and the continent at large.
Unfortunately, Seychelles missed an opportunity when her application to be on the Seychelles Human Rights Commission was turned down.
Her election to this important international institution has today vindicated Mrs. Amesbury. One Seychelles wishes Mrs. Alexia Amesbury all the very best in her undertakings”.
