Site (Society of Incentive Travel Excellence) announced the election of Karim elMinabawy, President of Emeco Travel, in the board of directors occupying the seat of Africa & Middle East.
first time
This is the first time ever since this Africa/Middle East seat was created in the association for an Arab to be represented in the board. It has been occupied twice before by South African. This election in the board will last for three years (2021-24) and eligible for a maximum of a second term.
Based in Chicago, Site is the largest association that specialized in the Incentive and Special Events travel industry.

“The Incentive Travel is one of the most important travel segment in the tourism industry since it addresses the high end travelers that uses the most luxurious suppliers in the country. It is also the fastest growing sector in the travel industry and represents 7% of the total travel generated income across the world. It has generated an approximate value of US Dollar 75 billion as a total turnover in 2018.” Says ElMinabawy.

ElMinabawy added that ” Site association was created back in 1973 to be the official arm of Incentive Travel. This includes enriching the education of this important segment around the globe next to offering networking opportunities to its members.

It also promotes the Incentive travel generally and the respective destinations in the emerging markets specifically. This is by holding specialized physical & online workshops in many important Incentive destinations in addition to its main Global Forum that takes place once every year in a different part of the world.
Site has over 2500 members spread around 90 countries.
It has recently launched a Young leaders program to educate & formulate the future generations.
It also helps them to learn the state of the art technic in operating and marketing the Incentive Travel.
