F1 FANS FROM AROUND THE WORLD GET UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL DURING PIT LANE WALK
Pit lane garages at Yas Marina Circuit are taken in by thousands of Formula 1® fans as they get a rare glimpse of teams hard at work before the big race
aTP- Arab tourism portal- Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi, – As Abu Dhabi prepares to close out yet another exciting season of racing, fans of the sport were given an inside look at this year’s teams fine tuning their cars today (Thursday) ahead of the on-track action as Yas Marina Circuit opened its pit lane before this year’s FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX weekend.
Opening the pit lane to the public enabled F1 fans from across the globe a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see their favourite teams and drivers while they were preparing for what promises to be a stunning conclusion to the 2015 season.
Three-day ticket holders were given the opportunity, some only dreaming of being so close to the pinnacle of motorsport before today.
“This is my first Grand Prix and the atmosphere is electric, where better to start than Yas Marina Ciruit,” said Kenny Wilson, 44, who has flown from Scotland to be in Abu Dhabi.
“As an F1 fan, it’s great to sit at home, but you need to realise that by being here you literally can reach out and touch the teams. Walking along the Pits seeing each garage is honestly like 10 Christmas’ rolled into one. I don’t think my heart has being beating normally for about a week knowing this is happening, it’s a dream come true.”
