Semiramis InterContinental Cairo – Official Hotel- for the 7th Cairo Jazz Festival
ATP- Arab tourism portal- The three-day festival took place from the 15th to the 18th of October, 2015 and hosted international artists from 13 countries, as well as Egyptian-based bands and musicians.
The Cairo Jazz Festival was established in 2009 by producer/composer Amro Salah and has become known for accommodating some of the most renowned international talents as well as supporting uprising and skilled musicians in the local jazz community.
“We are proud to be part of one of the most prominent cultural events in the country” said Sameh Sobhy, General Manager, Semiramis InterContinental Cairo “Our guests enjoyed three amazing jazz events by renowned Latin Jazz Trio Cesar Mora from Venezuela joined by Internationally acclaimed vocalist Michell Rounds & Dia Tass of Egypt’s finest percussionists, famous saxophonist Nour Ashour, and Portuguese Jazz Queen Elisa Rodrigues & her Quartet” he added.
“The Cairo Jazz Festival is organized in collaboration with the Jazz Society of Egypt, is a non-profit music organization dedicated to the growth and continuation of the evolutionary sounds that sprout from Jazz music” said producer/composer Amro Salah during a press conference attended by renowned artists Nassir Shama, Amro Salah, Reema Khashish and Ahmed Harfoush, Chairman of the Jazz Society of Egypt.
