India Minister of Tourism, Culture & Civil Aviation arrives in Seychelles for the Seychelles-India Day Celebrations 2015
ATP- Arab tourism portal-Dr Mahesh Sharma, the Minister of State responsible for Tourism, Culture and Civil Aviation is in Seychelles as the representative of the Indian Government for this year’s Seychelles-India Day Celebrations.
Minister Sharma was welcomed at Seychelles International Airport by Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture and H.E. Sanjay Panda, the Indian High Commissioner accredited to Seychelles. This is the first visit by Minister Sharma to the mid-ocean islands of the Seychelles and his two day visit will include a courtesy call on President James Michel at State House as well as bilateral discussions with Minister St.Ange at the the Ministry of Tourism and Culture ESPACE Offices in Victoria.
Minister Sharma who is being accompanied on this working visit by Navneet Soni, the OSD to the Minister will be inaugurating alongside his Seychellois counterpart the sand sculpture by artist Sudarsan Pattnaik at Beau Vallon and also grace the Seychelles-Indian Day Celebration’s Gala Lunch at the Kempinski Resort. The Indian Minister is also expected to participate at the Celebration’s Gala Night at the People’s Stadium in the presence of the musical genius of India Mr A. R. Rahman of Jaiho fame.
On Monday Minister Sharma will tour the Victoria Marine Park accompanied by Anne Lafortune, the PS for Tourism and stop at the Cerf Hotel of V.J. Patel before joining Minister St.Ange at a lunch in his honour at the Sunset Beach Hotel. Minister Mahesh Sharma is expected to leave Seychelles on Tuesday morning.
