John Stravens appointed Chairperson of the Board of Governance of the Seychelles Tourism Academy
ATP- Arab tourism portal- Mr. John Stravens, an SCCI Councilor and also a well a respected businessman, has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Board of Governance, of the Seychelles Tourism Academy (STA), by the Minister for Education, Mrs. Macsuzy Mondon. The appointment came into effect since the 1st of June, 2015.
To note, Mr. Stravens is the former Chairman of the SHTA were he occupied the position for several years and was also an Ad’hoc on the SCCI Board of Councilors. He was elected as a Councilor during the Annual General Meeting of SCCI early this year. Mr. Stravens is also the Chairperson of the SCCI Sub-Tourism Committee that was created by the SCCI Chairman.
Mr. Stravens sits on different national committees and has been lately appointed together with Mr. Francis, on the National Arts Council (NAC) board, by Minister Alain St.Ange, the Minister for Tourism & Culture. He is also very active within the Tourism sector.
The SCCI Chairman and the Secretariat wishes Mr. Stravens success in his new appointment. Mr. Francis said that Mr. Stravens is a very proactive person and he has the confidence that he deliver towards his new appointment.
