Oman Air to attempt new world record

 

 

 

ATP-  Arab tourism portal-  MUSCAT, Oman Air will attempt a Guinness World Record for the ‘most people holding hands in an online image chain’ in celebration of international Friendship Day on July 30.People from around the world are invited to post their own pictures of family members, friends and colleagues holding hands on the campaign website www.befriendtheworld.com.

Oman Air has already taken pictures of almost 400 people from over 35 nations at Expo Milano 2015. Each image depicts its subjects holding hands in a sign of peace and friendship.

 

 


The images can now be seen on the campaign website www.befriendtheworld.com.By the end of October, Oman’s national airline aims to have more than 10,000 pictures of people holding hands, from dozens of nations around the globe.

Each participant will be entered into a prize draw, with the chance of winning two return flights from any destination within Oman Air’s network to Muscat.

 

 

In total, there will be six tickets for three lucky winners.Mohammed Al Shikely, general manager Marketing for Oman Air, said: “We would be thrilled to set a new Guinness World Record, and with the response we are getting so far, we are optimistic about our success.

 I would urge everyone to take part and play a vital role in creating this world record. In doing so, every participant shows that the world can be connected in friendship.

”Finding the wreckage would involve reverse engineering the ocean currents over 18 months, Feith said.

"It’s going to take a lot of math and science to figure that out," he added.
