UNWTO Invite Seychelles Minister St.Ange to be as a speaker in Seminar
ATB – arab tourism portal – In an article in the Issue dated 15th May of The Independent Newspaper in Seychelles, a long article entitled MARKETING A POLITICAL PARTY by: Barry Laine FCIM, FInst SMM, MCMI, MBSCH referred everyone to how the Seychelles tourism industry was today being marketed successfully. Mr Barry Laine writes: "The way Alain St. Ange has marketed our tourism industry is the best example of good marketing in action in Seychelles.
If Alain St. Ange had not employed some professional marketing techniques our tourism industry would have suffered serious losses by now". The same statement by Barry Laine is one that is often used in the world of tourism when describing Seychelles tourism and is one referred to when talking destination marketing.
Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture is seen and is actively using opportunities that comes his way to help increase the visibility of his Seychelles and in so doing he is ensuring that the Seychelles Tourism Industry remains relevant in the very competitive world of tourism.
Minister St.Ange had recently been invited by the NRI of India to be their Guest of Honour at their 2015 General Assembly before being invited by the UNWTO (United Nations World Tourism Organisation) to speak at their Morocco Tourism Conference for countries bordering the Atlantic Ocean.
Just before that Morocco Meeting Minister St.Ange addressed the UNWTO & UNESCO Tourism through Culture conference in Cambodia. Last month he was in Madrid to be a speaker at the WTTC (World Tourism & Travel Council) General Assembly.
On the 19th May the Seychelles Minister will this time be addressing the International Seminar on Multidestination Opportunities for Regional Integration by UNWTO & Haitian Government will be held along with 58th UNWTO Regional Commission for the Americas (CAM).
The Seychelles Minister says that he is honoured to be invited as a speaker more so because he is the only one invited from the whole of Africa and Asia. After his appearance in Morocco, the Seychelles Minister met the press as he does each time he attends a tourism forum and he managed to have a Seychelles report on many magazines from the french speaking world.
The Haiti meeting will see a long list of important and very influential tourism professionals gather in Port au Prince. It is Taleb Rifai, the Secretary General of the UNWTO who will personally join Stephania Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister responsible for Tourism and Creative industries of Haiti to open the meeting on Tuesday the 19th May in front of a long list of Tourism Ministers from the Americas and the Caribbean who will be sitting alongside the bosses of many Airlines, Tour Operators and International Hotel Chains.
Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister for Tourism and Culture is set to be addressing the International Seminar on Multidestination Opportunities for Regional Integration as he has personally played a key part in the creation of the Indian Ocean Vanilla Islands Regional Organisation and became its first President.
This organisation is today often referred to as an example where like minded people who ares committed for the continued development of their country join together to work as one.
"I feel privileged to be invited to address these big tourism conferences. This helps me keep Seychelles visible. Out of sight is out of mind and this is very much so in the world of tourism" said Minister St.Ange.
The Seychelles Minister is expected to meet a number of press houses as he transits New York enroute to Haiti on Monday.
