The two sister islands in the indian ocean are not only very close together, but both speak the same Creole language and have a very close historical past. The two islands are also founding members of the Indian Ocean Vanilla Islands concept.

The meeting between Deputy Prime Minister Duval and Minister St.Ange was attended by Mrs K. O. Discussions between Deputy Prime Minister Duval and Minister St.Ange and their delegations were centred on many points that would strengthen the cooperation between these two Indian Ocean Islands.

Deputy Prime Minister Duval used that first meeting between himself and his seychelles counterpart to confirm that Mauritius would this year be represented at the Seychelles annual Carnaval International de Victoria by an important delegation.

They also discussed to work more closely to consolidate the work of the Vanilla Islands as well as to undertake joints initiatives to bring out a common Hotel Grading system and to increase Cruise Ship business in the Indian Ocean.
