Seychelles tourism active on Irish market
Almasalla, ATP News- Ireland is a market which is growing year on year and Seychelles is assuring that it keeps its exposure active there to ensure a bigger share of that promising market.
The Seychelles Tourism Board Office in UK did not miss the Ireland’s premier consumer event – Holiday Show – last weekend, which once again offered various options for once-in-a-lifetime holidays, family or romantic getaways.
Speaking after the show, the Manager for the Seychelles Tourism Board Office for UK and Ireland, Tinaz Wadia said that they will continue to cultivate this market further as there is easy access to the destination, with four flights from Emirates and Etihad departing daily from Dublin.
“This is the second time we are attending this prestigious show and we were amazed by the continued interest in the Seychelles destination,” she said.
She added that Hotel Coco de Mer and Black Parrot Suites – which was the only hotel partner alongside Seychelles at the show – has also been a faithful partner on this market and she was confident that the hotel will get positive results from its active marketing there.
“We have seen the support from the Irish Travel Operators selling the destination, as well as their keen interest in promoting different sectors of the markets, be it for weddings, families or general leisure and sport activities. They responded by distributing special flyers and offers on the hotel and destination, encouraging interested clients into travelling to Seychelles,” Ms Wadia explained.
She then described the show as another successful one for Seychelles, with many more consumers visiting the stand and interested to book the destination.
“There is definitely more awareness on the destination on this market and this is apparent in the increase of arrival figures from Ireland, which grew by 13% in 2014, over 2013. More activities will take place over the coming months with our partners showing the destination and highlighting the Seychelles as the destination to visit in 2015.
Seychelles was also being represented by Eloise Vidot, Marketing Executive in the Seychelles Tourist Office in UK, and by Ash Behari from Hotel Coco de Mer.
