Kingdom to witness 29 tourist festivals during the upcoming school mid-term break

 

 

Almasalla, ATP News- The upcoming school mid-term break will witness 29 tourist festivals and events that are scheduled to take place throughout different parts of the Kingdom and will be organized by the Provincial Tourism Development Councils and their partners across the provinces.
 

 

 

SCTA along with its partners across provinces has recently concluded its preparations for these events including social, cultural, sport, entertainment in addition to many other events that are designed to meet the aspiration of different categories of the society.

 

 

 

SCTA’s partnership with provinces has yielded in such a large number of distinguished festivals and events which, that are getting more mature and gaining more success year by year.
 

 

Makkah province will see three festivals: The Historic Jeddah Festival, Souk Okaz Festival, and Taif Spring Festival in the Taif municipality in addition to the Wild Camp in Makkah.
 

 

Al Madina province will witness three festivals in Al Madina, Yanbu and Al Ula: Al Madina Flowers Festival, Yanbu Festival in Yanbu municipality, and Al Ula festival in Al Ula municipality.
 

 

Al Qaseem province will witness seven festivals: Buraidah Spring Festival, Al Shamasiya Spring Festival, Riyadh Al Khobara Spring Festival, Al Ghada Festival in Onaiza municipality, Entertainment Spring Festival in Al Moznib municipality, Spring Festival in Al Bekairia municipality, Spring Festival in Al Rus municipality.
 

 

The Eastern Province will host Neyria Spring Festival in Al Neyria municipality in addition to Popular Games Festival in Al Ahsa municipality.
 

 

The Northern Border region will mark the spring break with three festivals – Falcon Festival in Turaif municipality, Winter Festival in Rafha municipality in addition to Winter Festival in ArAr municipality.
 

 

Jazan province, throughout one and half month, will host the events of Jazan Winter Festival besides Jazan Carnival, which will be held on 17-18 January, 2015.

 

Al Baha province will host during the break Al Makhwah Festival and Galwah Spring Festival.
 

 

Riyadh province will host Discover Riyadh Expo events, while Tabuk province will host Tabuk Safari. Asir province will host Spring Festival in Al Heraida, Rejal Al Ma and Abha.

 

Hail province will host the 8th Desert International Festival from 15-24 January 2015. Najran province will host Tourism Week Festival while Al Jouf will host Al Sido Festival.

 

 

SCTA through its branches across the provinces supports the efforts of Tourism Development Councils and their partners in the organization of these festivals and events which contribute to the development of domestic tourism besides providing technical, media, marketing and financial support to those events.
 

 

 

 

Noteworthy, SCTA annually sponsors these festivals and events and provides them with necessary marketing and media support as well as providing both Saudis and expatriates with necessary information on spring break events via its toll-free number 19988, in addition to Electronic Event Calendar, and on its official website on the link http://event.sct.gov.sa .

 

The website of Saudi Tourism www.sauditourism.com.sa, also provides internet users with detailed information on the most important events and occasions that Kingdom witnesses, which enable tourists to select their tourism destination and plan for tourism trip via the website, which includes a comprehensive directory for tourism services that tourists need such as hotels, furnished apartments, youth hostels, museums, parks and malls.
