Tanzania Tourism Minister arrives in Seychelles ahead of opening of IORA (Indian Ocean Rim Association) Ministerial Meeting
Almasalla, ATP News- Minister Mahmoud Hassan Mgimwa, the Deputy Tanzanian Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism has arrived in Seychelles ahead of the IORA (Indian Ocean Rim Association) Tourism Ministerial Meeting that will be starting this coming Thursday in the Seychelles. Minister Mgimwa was being accompanied by Hon Waride Bakari, the Elected Member for the Jube Electoral District of Tanzania amongst others.
Minister Mgimwa of Tanzania was greeted on his arrival at Seychelles International Airport by Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture and by his PS for Tourism, Mrs Anne Lafortune.
During their initial discussions at the Airport Minister Mgimwa of Tanzania and Minister St.Ange of the Seychelles agreed that it was more important than ever before for countries of the Indian Ocean Region to work together. "We shall work together, and during this visit we shall sit down to find areas for closer cooperation" said the Tanzania Minister.
The working visit to the Seychelles by the Tanzanian Minister comes but days before air Seychelles launched direct non-stop flights to Tanzania and this was a point also discussed by the two Ministers.
