INDIA CONFIRMS MINISTER ST.ANGE OF SEYCHELLES WILL BE CHIEF GUEST FOR 34th INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF NRIs IN JANUARY IN NEW DELHI
Almasalla, ATP News- It was Mr Pravin Darad, the current Chariperson of the Indian Association in Seychelles who had the honour of delivering to Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, an invitation letter from India inviting him to be the Chief Guest on the Occasion of the 34th International Congress of NRIs.
This Mega Event (Generating Global Partnerships) is all set to be held on 24-28 January 2015 in New Delhi – Jaipur. This Congress will provide a platform for interaction between the NRIs where more than 500 are participating from various parts of the world.
The letter handed over to Minister Alain St.Ange states:- "We shall be grateful if you kindly be the Chief Guest on the Occasion, i.e. on the 25th January 2015 on the eve of Republic Day in Ashoka Hotel, New Delhi (India)".
Reacting to this invitation Minister Alain St.Ange said that their is no better time to be seen in India to help raise our country’s visibility. "Air Seychelles is starting direct non-stop flight to India form the 2nd December this year and we need to grab any opportunity to make our country seen and noticed in India. Being Chief Guest at that Mega Event in India will be one such great opportunity" Minister St.Ange said.
Seychelles and India enjoys very friendly ties and only last week a new Coast Guard Ship was handed over to the Seychelles by the India in the presence of President James Michel.
Minister St.Ange led a working visit by members of the island’s tourism industry just a couple of months ago. This visit that took them to New Delhi and Mumbai helped create interactions between Seychelles Hoteliers and DMC Companies with Indian Tour Operators.
The press interest in Seychelles was very evident during this Ministerial visit based on their attendance at the press conferences in both New Delhi and Mumbai and the press coverage that followed. A large number of the Seychelles Indian Community also accompanied Minister Alain St.Ange on that working visit to India.
