Medical Committee says health conditions of UAE pilgrims ”reassuring”
 

 

Almasalla,Gate Arab Tourism News- Makka, (WAM) — The medical committee of the U.A.E. Pilgrims Affairs Office affirmed that the health well being of pilgrims, who arrived the holy lands for the annual Hajj season were ”reassuring” so far thanks to Allah and to the close follow up of the Official Hajj Mission.
 

 

Head of the Medical Committee Dr. Abdul Karim Al Zarounie, stated that his team had completed preparations to provide comprehensive healthcare services for pilgrims during the current Hajj season.

 

Dr. Al Zarounie said that the 41-member medical committee had allocated six round o’clock help lines to receives notifications and inquiries from pilgrims about health issues.
 

He stressed the readiness of the committee to deliver immediate health assistance needed by any Hajj operator and its mobile medical teams ”are ready to provide field therapeutic services to cases medical teams of Hajj operators could not attend.” He indicated that his committee is regularly coordinating with Saudi hospitals to refer any critical or suspicious cases to receive required medical care.

 

He underscored that the committee had a strategic medical supplies for treatment of chronic diseases like diabetes, blood pressure, heart diseases, and other preventive medicines and antibiotics.
 

The committee, he added, would monitor the health condition of pilgrims through their medical files for 14 days since arrival to the holy lands to perform the fifth pillar of Islam.
