Hilton Paris Opera Undergoes Significant Restoration Ahead Of Launch

Balancing elegant style and sophistication in central Paris, Hilton Paris Opera will become an essential destination for all shopping aficionados and culture connoisseurs

Almasalla- Arab Travel Portal News – PARIS –  Joining the Hilton Hotels & Resorts portfolio in September 2014, the Concorde Opera Paris hotel has begun a significant $50 million restoration and enhancement programme ahead of its much anticipated re-launch as Hilton Paris Opera.

Providing a sneak preview of new designs and interiors, the hotel will offer travellers a modern blend of history and glamour, with sleek styling in celebration of the 125 year legacy of this classic Parisian hotel.

Rob Palleschi, global head, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, said, "We are delighted to be welcoming this legendary Parisian hotel to our Hilton Hotel & Resorts portfolio.  At the heart of one of the world’s most popular destinations, Hilton Paris Opera will offer leisure and business travellers a unique experience through its contemporary design and Hilton service for which we are renowned."

Benefiting from an inspiring location, the hotel is situated in the heart of the city’s Right Bank district and just a stone’s throw from the Champs-Elysées, Opéra Square and Rue de la Paix. Guests will be able to discover the mystery and marvel of Opéra Garnier, explore the beautiful delicatessen on Place de la Madeleine or enjoy a French boutique shopping experience at the Galeries Lafayette and Printemps Haussmann.

For culture connoisseurs many museums are within walking distance, so travellers may linger at the Musée Fragonard, which epitomises French luxury, or stroll along the aisles of Musée de la Vie Romantique – a source of inspiration for great artists and writers such as Chopin, Georges Sand and Delacroix.

On completion of the refurbishment, the hotel will boast 268 guest rooms including 29 suites across five floors. Originally designed by architect Juste Lisch to accommodate visitors flocking to the 1889 Exposition Universelle, the current restoration project, led by London based designer Richmond International, balances historic legacy with modern influences, in a timeless yet contemporary style.

Guest room design detail will focus on soothing colours, as well as delicate and refined materials which pay homage to the traditional, yet chic, Parisian style.  Hilton Paris Opera will conjure images of Paris’ Golden Age, with the magnificent entrance hall adorned with frescoes, Corinthian colonnades, imposing original balustrades featuring chandeliers set with crystals and mosaic flooring.  In addition, guests will be able to enjoy a new bar inspired by the great French fashion designer Christian Lacroix.

The hotel is located within close proximity to Saint-Lazare Railway Station and approximately 28 kilometres from Charles de Gaulle Airport; 23 kilometres from Paris Orly Airport; and nine kilometres from the La Defense business district.
