GRAND HYATT DUBAI RECEIVES TWO PRESTIGIOUS ACCOLADES AT THE MIDDLE EAST HOTEL AWARDS 2014
Luxury hotel in Dubai awarded “Best Conference and Banquet Facility” and “Best Hotel Recreational Facilities” in the Middle East
Grand Hyatt Dubai is delighted to have been honoured with two awards at the Middle East Hotel Awards (MEHA) 2014 held on 5 June 2014.
Almasalla- Arab Travel Portal News – The Middle East Hotel Awards recognise excellence within the region s dynamic hospitality industry, including design, product and service of the highest level in the MENA region. The awards reflect the highest accolade for hospitality providers and were judged by a distinguished panel of industry experts from various sectors.
This year, the hotel was judged to have the “Best Conference and Banquet Facilities” in the Middle East with judges recognizing the versatility and breadth of event facilities available within the hotel covering 5,000 square metres of event space. The presence of pioneer event concept Al Manzil, one of the largest pillar-less ballrooms in the city as well as enchanting outdoor venues were key facilities contributing to this recognition. This is also the second time the hotel has received this award in the MEHA’s three-year history.
For the second consecutive year, Ahasees Spa & Club, Grand Hyatt Dubai was awarded the honour of having the “Best Hotel Recreational Facilities” in the Middle East for its holistic approach to leisure, health, wellness and recreation for the whole family. Judges were impressed by its outstanding combination of facilities providing all these benefits including spa treatment rooms, full-equipped gymnasium, four swimming pools, Kidz Club and tennis courts among others.
In recognition of these accolades, General Manager John W. Beveridge hosted an event appreciating the teams working behind the scenes to make this recognition possible. He said “These awards are a testament that we continue to put our customers at our core. Being a city conference resort in the heart of Dubai, the Team is commitment to excellence and to be recognized with awards encompassing both these segments, is a true badge of honour for the hotel and our team.”
The Middle East Hotel Awards are given based on criteria such as use of space and design concept, creativity, innovation and design, quality of products and technology, sustainability of facility and the overall guest experience. In 2014, more than 30 hotels from the Middle East region were shortlisted.
