New Miss Creole des îles international crowned in Seychelles
 

 

 

 

 

 


aTP-  Arab tourism portal News- Nineteen year old Omegan Jean-Marie Ciseau is the new Miss Creole desîles international. She was crowned by the 2015 Creole queen Debbie Horsman on Saturday night at the International Conference Centre of Seychelles.

 

 

 


 
Miss Ciseau was among the 10 contestants vying for the 2016 Miss Creole des îles international title. Apart from taking the crown home, she was judged as the contestant with the best project.

 


 
Aside from her, the other top finalists were Romakira Gonthier, Ellissa Larue, Isabelle Savy, Rania Bristol and Valentina Reginald.

 

 

 


 
Romakira Gonthier who won the People’s choice award was also crowned first princess while Ellissa Larue whose evening wear was judged as the best. Miss Larue was also crowned as second princess during the pageant.

 

 

 

 


A panel of five judgesheaded by Kevin Perine was given the task to choose a new creole queen for this year based on a set of criteria.

 

 

 


 
The show started with the 10 contestants dancing to the beats of traditional music, all dressed up in their blue and green outfits, which blended well with the décor of the stage.
 

 


After a few performances by top local stars in the likes of Sandra, Smash Kid, Angie and Joenise Juliette, the master of ceremony for the night Travis Julienne, another famous singer, dj and radio presenter in Seychelles announced the first winners of the pageant starting with the Miss Personality title which went to Melanie Sinon while Kanisha Dogley won the Miss Photogenic title.
 

 

 

 

 


During the pageant, those attending the show had the chance to see the 12 young ladies parade on the catwalk in the beach, casual and evening wears.

 


 
Kanisha Dogley, Rania Bristol, Ellissa Larue, Romakira Gonthier, Chlorie Cadeau, Valentina Reginald, Omegan Jean-Marie Ciseau, Melanie Sinon, Angela Bill and Isabelle Savy were this year’s contestants for Miss Creole des îles international.

 


 
Miss Creole des îles international beauty pageant is the platform where ambassador for our Creole culture is chosen. Among those present at ICCS on Friday night were the Minister for Tourism and Culture Alain St.Ange, principal secretary for culture Benjamine Rose  and Regina Esparon, the elected representatives for Glacis and Chantal Ghislain, the LP elected representative of the National Assembly .
