VANILLA ISLANDS GROWING THEIR CALENDAR OF EVENTS TO STRENGTHEN PROMOTION OF INDIAN OCEAN REGION
Almasalla Arab Travel Portal News – To help strengthen the tourism actions of cooperation and for the promotion in the Indian Ocean Region as a whole, the Vanilla Islands launched a list of events that today sit on the organisation s Calendar of Events. Thedivision to embark on a list of cultural events was one of the decision reached at a Ministerial Meeting of the Vanilla Islands. All the Member Islands agreed to participate in each of the " vanilla Islands " events, to strengthen these events.
After the Carnival International de Victoria of the Seychelles (April), the International Tourism Fair of Madagascar (May), the Liberté Métisse festival of La Reunion Island (December), a new "Vanilla Islands" event has been announced and it is by the Comoros.
The Tourist Office of Comoros announced that on the 21st August they will be organising a Cultural & Gastronomic Fiesta event. "This is great news for the Indian Ocean Region. The Vanilla Islands is proudly showcasing the culture of its respective islands through this list events list appearing on the Organisation’s Calendar of Events.
These events are helping make our region more visible and this will help our tourism industry" said Alain St.Ange, the President of the Vanilla Islands & Minister for Tourism and Culture of the Seychelles.
