Specialists of public and private sectors to discuss future of tourism investment in the Kingdom in STTIM-2014
Almasalla Arab Travel Portal News – A number of experts and specialists from the local and international, public and private sectors are going to address the importance of integrating tourism investment in the Kingdom and its role in stimulating and creating an appropriate environment for the advancement of the tourism sector.
The discussion will be held within the events of the upcoming Saudi Travel and Tourism Investment Market (STTIM-2014), which will be held from 30th March to 4th April, 2014, at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center in Riyadh.
In a dialogue session, the experts will discuss the direct and indirect economic impacts of tourism sector in addition to the integration of both public and private sectors for creating appropriate climate for tourism investment.
The discussion will also review the job opportunities that are generated by tourism investment’s projects, investment opportunities in Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), mechanisms of investment opportunities in tourism, besides mechanism of communication between investors and creating relations integrated network between them and addressing the importance of stimulating the private sector investment in tourism.
The experts will emphasize the importance the role of government in tourism investment under the total development plan and utilizing international experiences in the field of tourism investment.
Media figure Rashed Al Fozan, will moderate a session under the slogan, "Reality and future of investment in tourism sector", in which will some selected speakers will participate, namely, Dr. Salah Al Bakheet, Vice-President of SCTA for Investment and Tourism Development at SCTA, Dr. Ahmed Esmaeel Assistant Vice-President of SCTA for Investment at SCTA, in addition to Eng. Osama Al Mubarak Chief of Kafala Program for Financing Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), Dr. Mohammad Al Katheri Secretary General of Riyadh Industrial Chamber, Dr. John Sfakianakis senior economist at MASIC, Dr. Abdul Wahab Al Qahtani, Professor of Management at King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals, economic writer Hassan Al Ganai Director General of Kuwaiti Company for Development of Small Enterprises, Sulaiman Al Morshidi, Director General of Evaluation of Saudi Credit and Saving Bank, Michael Nazal Chief of Jordanian Hotel Association, Spanish Advisor and Expert Juan Biloso, Tariq Abu Al Ata, Director General of Investment at Executive Body of General Authority of Tourism Development, Jamal Al Fakhri, Chief Executive Officer of Tabuk Tourism Investment Company, in addition to a number of senior officials from public sector.
The tourism sector is considered one of the most important investment sectors, and a key source of income and the sector of invisible exports. Tourism activity also plays an important and impacting role in promoting economies of many countries, besides representing a concrete tributary and important source of national income.
Tourism investment has great impacted on tourism activity in different aspects as its one of the most sectors that attracting direct investments, besides it has positive impact on development of public services such as transport and communication and the like, which contribute greatly to boosting the wheel of development as well as enhancing the development process across different parts of the country.
Growth of tourism sector leads to rise in job opportunities, and paving the way for development of new professions and raising the levels of integration between different economic sectors.
Noteworthy, STTIM is an annual event held this year by SCTA under the patronage of HRH Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Abdul Aziz, Governor of Riyadh region and Chairman of Riyadh Tourism Development Council, from 30th March to 4th April, 2014 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center (RICEC).
The STTIM-2014 in its 7th session is going to be held under the theme "Tourism… Partnership towards sustainable development", is scheduled to feature four major scientific sessions to be held as dialogue sessions in addition to over 35 events, workshops, training courses and lectures for the interest of the staff of different tourism sectors in which will take part about 80 national and international experts and specialists and will discuss the most important topics related tourism industry.
The sessions will focus on various topics such as, "role of transportation in the stimulation and development of tourism sector", "reality and future of investment in tourism sector", "role of youth in the tourism sector", and "entertainment and tourism".
