Seychelles Minister for Tourism & Culture interviewed by Guam’s top radio host
aTP- Arab tourism portal- The Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, Alain St. Ange, accompanied by the island’s Tourism Board Senior Consultant, Glynn Burridge, were already in the Guam Radio Station early on Wednesday morning for the popular radio program ‘Breakfast with Patti’ show.
Minister Alain St. Ange, along with John Nathan Denight, President and CEO of the Guam Visitors Bureau, and Paul Pruangkarn, communications manager of the Pacific Asia Travel Association, were all interviewed by Patti Arroyo live just ahead of the PATA (Pacific & Asia Tourism Association) Annual Summit 2016.
Minister St. Ange of the Seychelles is set to deliver the key note address at this year’s PATA Summit, an opportunity that is set to again raise the visibility of Seychelles all over Asia and the Pacific. Asia, and most particularly China is the latest tourism target market for the Seychelles. This is why, in the last couple of years, Seychelles opened three Tourism Board Offices in Beijing, Shanghai and in Honk Kong respectively to ensure that they are able to claim their fair share of the Chinese holiday makers. Seychelles has also had a Tourism Board Office in South Korea for a number of years.
In the ‘Breakfast with Patti’ radio show Minister Alain St. Ange spoke at length about the similarities between Guam and Seychelles and of the necessity for all islands to work together to make their voice heard. He also took time to explain the culture of Seychelles and something of its history and made a call for the Seychellois Community in the US Island of GUAM to meet with him during his stay.
"It is an immense honour to be asked to deliver the keynote address at such a prestigious conference as PATA, which this year looks set to receive in the region of 500 delegates from the Pacific Area," commented Minister St. Ange, " and it is also a great opportunity to make our Seychelles brand resonate in this part of the world where many tourism players are visibly curious to learn more about us and the way our tourism industry is experiencing success."
Minister St. Ange and Glynn Burridge will attend the 2016 PATA Conference and its various breakaway sessions which is being held at Guam’s Dusit Thani Resort until 22nd May.
