A responsible Government standing behind their cultural event alongside the People of the Seychelles
aTP- Arab tourism portal- The sixth edition of the Carnaval International de Victoria was closed last Sunday after three days of fun where thousands were lined up in the streets of Victoria, the Capital of the Seychelles. President James Michel, the President of the Republic was personally present as was Sir James Mancham, the island’s founding President. Vice President Danny Faure also joined the Tourism and Culture Minister Alain St.Ange to show support for the event that brings out the largest number of Seychellois onto the streets of Victoria, the Capital of the Seychelles.
Ministers who also came out at the Official Opening ceremony and on carnival parade day included the island’s Designated Minister Vincent Meriton, Minister Jean Paul Adam, Minister Mitzy Larue, Minister Idith Alexander, Minister Michael Benstrong and Minister Wallace Cosgrow.
The press, both local and International, commented on the support of the Government though the presence of the island’s Ministers at a popular event that was promoting [eace and unity for Seychelles and for the wold.
"As Seychellois and visitors jammed the streets of Victoria it was a real please to see the Government also come forward to show it appreciates the cultural event that brings so much visibility for the tourism industry of Seychelles" said Minister Alain St.Ange to the press as the 2016 edition of the carnival was ending.
