Wedding Folies is a great opportunity for the Seychelles Tourism Board as it was an avenue for us to get closer to the consumers which is one of our objectives this 2016 considering Lebanon is one of the essential markets. A 57.41% increase in visitor arrivals was recorded in year ending statistics in 2015 from this country.
With the great exposure it got from the same event last 2015, the office decided to participate in this year’s Wedding Folies as a follow through and at the same time to further develop the good relationship we have initiated with the consumer level in Lebanon.
“Seychelles is becoming popular in the Lebanese community and we are very pleased on the result of the 4-day event, being able to witness the eagerness from the consumers to visit the destination. Their interest in knowing more about Seychelles and the properties inspires us to participate in more activities such as this. Our hotel partners received direct booking at the stand and currently working on the requests,” said Ahmed Fathallah, Regional Manager at the Seychelles Tourism Board Dubai Office.
Lebanon is one of the fast growing market in the region when it comes to visits to Seychelles and brand exposure given through consumer events such as the Wedding Folies could really benefit the product in terms of brand retention to consumers that could lead to Seychelles being the top of mind travel destination for travellers from Lebanon.
“Our second consecutive year of participation in the Wedding Folies has given us the opportunity to educate more and more consumers on the unique qualities of Seychelles and why it is the fitting travel destination for families, couples, friends and even businessmen. During the event we also had the opportunity to meet the key trade partners and brainstorm on how we can better promote Seychelles, added Fathallah” With the satisfactory and useful feedback received from the consumers during the event, it can expected that there will be a number of consumer activities to be implemented to promote the Seychelles Islands.
