St. Petersburg -The new Pier District and St. Pete Pier, previously scheduled to open on May 30, will now open on Monday, July 6 at 5:00 P.M.
Said Mayor Rick Kriseman: “It’s been a long and winding road, but we’ve arrived at our destination: A dynamic, 26-acre waterfront playground that will serve residents and visitors for generations to come. It’s time for everyone to experience all the Pier District and St. Pete Pier has to offer.”
The new St. Pete Pier District will be the ultimate place to stroll, bike, dine, drink, shop, swim, take in a concert and more. It’s more than just a pier, it’s an exPIERience. Additional information related to the pier’s amenities can be found at www.StPetePier.org.
Due to COVID-19, no organized mass gathering will coincide with the pier’s opening. To provide for the health and safety of the pier’s visitors, additional details related to a safe opening of the St. Pete Pier will be shared soon.
Soon to be the Southeast’s largest waterfront playground, the St. Pete Pier is comprised of 26 acres of activated waterfront park in St. Petersburg, Florida’s vibrant downtown.
Redefining the definition of a pier, this entertainment district is an extension of St. Pete’s bustling city center.
Each day, visitors will be able to enjoy countless experiences, from pop-up performances to inspiring public art installations.
In addition, The Pier will host major events throughout the year, including festivals, concerts, markets, and more.
